Live Image Cameras
The EYE-series cameras profit from many years of experience WolfVision has made in developing and manufacturing cameras for Visualizers. Since 2004, WolfVision also sells cameras as "stand alone" units. All technical improvements of camera, lens and firmware developed for WolfVision Visualizers are included in the EYE-series cameras. For example: sRGB Color Precision, Widescreen Support and a number of additional network/LAN and USB features.
WolfVision's EYE-series cameras can be used for a number of applications:
Use as a lower priced alternative to a Ceiling Visualizer
High resolution live image transmissions from room to room (room camera)
Videoconferencing (audience camera and document camera / Visualizer)
High resolution surveillance
Various medical applications (Telemedicine, etc.)
In other words - WolfVision's Progressive Scan Cameras can be used in applications where live image presentation is required but the resolution of a PAL/NTSC video camera is not good enough!
In August 2007, WolfVision released the third Progressive Scan Camera model EYE-12.
The EYE-12 can be seen as the "big brother" of the EYE-10 model. It comes with the same "eye-shaped" and "eye-catching" outside design.
Compared to the EYE-10 (which remains in WolfVision's product line as the "basic model") the EYE-12 comes with a number of additional features, such as USB-, LAN- and DVI ports and Power over Ethernet (PoE).
The heart of the EYE-12 is a sensational CCD camera with 1280 x 960 pixels at 30 frames per second.
This is native SXGA- resolution with an aspect ratio of 4:3. The camera also outputs native 720p HD (High Definition) with 1280 x 720 pixels in a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9.
Using a display device with 1280 x 960 (or more) pixels, a resolution of 820 lines is visible. But even when the image is downscaled by the EYE-12 to XGA and output on an XGA display device, the resolution is still around 740 lines.
