Touchline Cloud Services

Touchline Video are pleased to announce that we are placing some key components ‘in the cloud’ to make for easier and more frequent access by our partners.

The LifeSize Transit, the LifeSize Video Center 2200 and the Mirial ClearSea demonstration platforms have been re-located to the cloud and will all be available to support your individual demonstration and evaluation needs from June 6th 2011.

What Are The Benefits?

Whilst we have invested heavily in the LifeSize infrastructure platforms in support of ALL our reseller partners, we have previously focused on ‘in-house’ demonstrations at our Padworth demo centre.

With the new cloud arrangements, our partners will be able to support their own demonstrations and deliver them more frequently than before.

For example, the LifeSize Transit can handle multiple traversal calls in support of demonstrations from customer sites, either, back to your offices, to other remote locations or to Touchline.

Previously, we would only support one demonstration at a time, now, we will empower more resellers by providing multiple simultaneous access to these platforms which, in conjunction with our other cloud-based services, means you can deliver more demonstrations at a wider range of bandwidths from anywhere to anywhere.

How will it work?

Despite being cloud-based, we cannot provide unmanaged, ‘ad hoc’ or unscheduled access at this time.

In order to deliver the optimum experience of our cloud services we will need to be informed about potential dates, times and locations of proposed demonstrations and to ‘formally’ agree that the activity will be supported.

Demonstrations will still be booked in the same way as before.

Please be aware that all demonstration (or evaluation) configurations, set-ups and passwords will be temporary to avoid scheduling conflicts and/or unreasonable usage.

How much will it cost?

These facilities will be made available at no charge from June 6th until September 1st when, depending upon how many partners take advantage of the facilities and how often they are used, we will be making further announcements regarding future access, and enhancements, to these facilities. The review will take place during August 2011.
